Getting around: The beach is just in front and a shopping mall is across the street so walking is a good bet. Public buses also stop in front of the hotel and travel to the shops and entertainment area of Las Olas Blvd. But, for conveniently reaching golf courses, parks, downtown Fort Lauderdale, or other visitor attractions, a car is the best choice. Traffic along the area's main arteries typically moves smoothly and speedily. Driving north and south along A1A is slower but offers more scenic views.
